The combined solution provides security personnel the ability to capture and manage megapixel-quality information and retain it longer in a smaller, more cost-effective storage footprint.
TimeSight Systems offers the only video surveillance product that utilizes Video Lifecycle Management (VLM) - the practice of continuously reducing the cost of storing surveillance data over time. This technology allows users to reduce the size of stored video over time as video becomes older and less relevant, according to user-defined business rules, based on its value and ability to protect against risk without sacrificing security or compliance.
Currently, TimeSight appliances support six of StarDot's NetCam models with resolutions ranging from 1-5 megapixels. In addition, TimeSight's new intelligent ACe encoding feature converts video streams from legacy analog cameras into fully digitized streams, allowing users with a significant investment in analog CCTV systems to migrate into a fully functional IP based video network.
